Beanscene now Open
The Cafe Bar run by Beanscene (external site) officially opened on 13 September and is open 7 days a week 9am - 11pm. During its first week, the new cafe attracted over 5000 visitors.
Because the building is situated over the Slitrig river, this modern cafe/bar features:
- a glass covered 14 foot victorian water-wheel which is hoped to be restored, (above)
- a glass terraced seating area (below)
- under-water cameras so visitors can view the nearby otters, herons, bats and salmon whilst relaxing with a cup of coffee and a bite to eat.
Theatre/Cinema
The new Tower Mill cinema operates in association with Edinburgh Filmhouse. It offers a varied programme of films - from Arthouse and foreign films to mainstream movies.
