The Social Work Services Department offers a wide range of care and support services. These may be provided directly by the Council or commissioned under contract from independent providers. Services include:
- Community Care - for adults aged 16 and over
- Criminal Justice
- Welfare Benefits
- Homelessness Services
- Housing Strategy and Services
How do I get a service?
For more information about our services, please follow one of the links above. Alternatively, you can contact your local Social Work office. These are based in Galashiels, Peebles, Hawick and Kelso. They are open Mondays to Thursdays from 8.45am to 5.00pm, and on Fridays from 8.45am to 3.45pm.
