How to vote

You would normally vote at a polling place, the address of which would be sent to you on a polling card prior to any election in which you are entitled to vote.

However, if you are not able to attend at a polling station on the day of the election, you may apply in advance for either a postal vote or a proxy vote. Different rules govern each of these methods of "absent voting".

Please visit our  'how to vote ' section for details on where to register, proxy and absent voting or contact the Electoral Registration Officer.
