Latest on Border Roads after flooding

After the recent flooding in the Borders three roads have been affected by landslides. Here is the latest situation at 11am on Tuesday 15 July.

The A7 has been closed to traffic following a landslide.  This road in managed by BEAR Scotland, so any enquiries should be made to BEAR on 0800 587 1107, or look at www.trafficscotland.org/currentincidents/index.aspx.

 

The B6399 and the B6357 are now fully open.

 

Bus Services; First service X95 continues to operate normally between Edinburgh and Langholm. Until further notice, a connecting service provided by Anderson's of Langholm and DGC buses will operate between Langholm and Carlisle. Southbound, buses leave Langholm at 0735 (to Longtown only - connects with Stagecoach service 179), 0925, 1040, 1240, 1340, 1540 and 1850. Northbound buses leave Carlisle for Langholm at 1110, 1210, 1410, 1510, 1710 and 2050.  For information on public transport, please check Traveline or phone 0871 200 2233. First Group also shows the emergency Monday to Saturday timetable.
