National Rhymetimes in Borders Libraries
Tuesday, October 7 2008
Libraries across the Borders will be holding special Bookstart Rhymetimes to celebrate National Bookstart Day on 10 October.
Regular Rhymetimes take place in Scottish Borders libraries and are an excellent way to introduce parents with babies or toddlers to nursery and action rhymes.
Sharing stories and rhymes can help with early family bonding. Library staff and local health visitors lead the singing and rhymes, using baby instrument and puppets, and it’s free to join in these increasingly popular sessions.
The theme this year for the special events is Pirates, so why not go along and join the fun on the ocean wave?
The events will take place at:
- Earlston Library - 7 October, 2.15pm
- Newcastleton Community Centre - 8 October, 10am
- Selkirk, at Connections, 8 October, 11am
- Galashiels Library - 9 Oct, 10am
- Hawick Library - 10 October, 10.30am and 2pm
- Innerleithen Library - 10 October, 10am
- Melrose Library - 10 October, 10am
- Peebles Library - 10 October, 10am
- Kelso Library - 10 October, 10.45am
