Message from Priorsford Primary School and SBC - Benjamin Paton
Monday, November 10 2008
Staff, parents and pupils at Priorsford Primary School were deeply saddened to hear that Benjamin Paton, a primary four pupil, was killed in a road accident in Perthshire on Friday evening.
A team from Scottish Borders Council (SBC) was at school to support staff and pupils on Monday. Headteacher Keith Russell said: “Our thoughts are with Benjamin’s family at this time. Benjamin was a lovely boy who was popular with his classmates and with staff. He will be sadly missed by everyone in the school.”
Yvonne McCracken, Head of Primary Schools, commented: “This is a very difficult time for Benjamin’s family and for the school community. The staff have been superb in supporting the children through this tragic time. We extend our sympathy to Benjamin’s family.”
